What to expect….

Here is an easy read journey of what a journey in and out of CAMHS might look like (CAN YOU TURN THE BELOW INTO A COLOURFUL FLOW CHART??)

SOMOEONE IS WORRIED ABOUT YOU

THEY LET US AT CAMHS KNOW

IF WE THINK WE CAN HELP, WE SEND OUT AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET YOU.  IF WE THINK THERE IS A BETTER SERVICE TO HELP YOU WE WILL SUGGEST THEM

YOU MEET ONE OF OUR FAB TEAM AND TALK ABOUT WHAT IS GOING WELL AND WHAT ISN’T GOING SO WELL

YOU MAY COME TO SOME MORE APPOINTMENTS TO ASK SOME MORE QUESTIONS SO WE GET A BETTER IDEA OF WHAT IS GOING ON AND WHAT MIGHT HELP

WE WILL DISCUSS THE IDEAS WE HAVE TFOR HEP AND SUPPORT WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND YOU TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

WE PROVIDE HELP AND SUPPORT FROM THE RIGHT TEAM MEMBERS

WE REVIEW THIS SUPPORT TOGETHER AND MAKE SURE IT’S ALL GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HELP AND SUPPORT UNTIL YOU OR WE THINK THAT YOU ARE READY TO LEAVE THE SERVICE

….

WHEN YOU LEAVE THE SERVICE YOU WILL KNOW HOW TO USE THE SKILLS YOU HAVE LEARNED IN CAMHS IF LIFE GETS TOUGH. AGAIN

WHEN YOU LEAVE THE SERVICE YOU WAND YOUR FAMILY WILL UNDERSTAND WHERE ONGOING OR FURTHER SUPPORT WILL COME FROM
